Teaching Methodology

Rather than adopting a “mechanical” method, our courses are based on a communicative approach that emphasizes the use of language as a tool for communicating meaning within social contexts. According to this approach, the priority is that the student manages to communicate, first in a limited way and later fluently. The aims of a language course should reflect the needs of the student(s), including both linguistic and other communicative needs, and affording priority to the contexts in which the student(s) is/are likely to use the target language. Our courses and their underlying criteria are based on the European Framework of Reference for Languages.
